The approach to preserving the historic Great Southern Box Building is grounded in the celebration of what was already there. Originally used by Dr. Phillips as a warehouse/delivery space for the citrus industry; the building’s new use will be outward facing and serve as an extension to encourage gathering amongst the community.
The building will be converted into a food hall, brewery and event hall tied together with shaded outdoor space. The project will serve as an amenity to not only College Park natives, but the newly developed Packing District.
